Green Drinks Greensboro at Sessions on October 9, 5:30-7

Green Drinks Greensboro is holding its 2nd event, to be held at Sessions on 1820 Spring Garden St. (near UNCG), on Wednesday October 9th from 5:30-7.  Several diverse organizations are collaborating to create a fun, open space for people to communicate, learn, teach, share projects and work together to turn ideas into practice. Representatives from the Piedmont Plateau Group of the Sierra Club, UNCG Sustainability, Occupy Greensboro Energy Working Group, and the IRC-TG Edible Community Garden project have joined forces to plan for several upcoming events.   This event is sponsored by Piedmont Plateau Group (PPG) of the Sierra Club.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

The first Green Drinks event was a great success with over 30 attendees that care about people, community, sustainability and the environment.  We enjoyed beer, wine, coffee, food, and most importantly networked and exchanged information on issues of mutual interest.  Sessions has coffee, wine and one of best beer selections in Greensboro.  They also have a lovely & large outdoor setting!

In November, the Occupy Greensboro Energy Working Group will sponsor a gathering at “Tavo” on Elm.

We’re BACK…again!

Green Drinks Greensboro is back…again.  We’ve morphed a number of times, but you just can’t keep a good idea down and Green Drinks Greensboro is just such a good idea!

Thanks to MaryEllen Etienne for passing along her info and to Kathe Latham for ushering us through a “transitional” time.  We are launching a new collaborative model which we believe will be more sustainable.

Our first event will be on Wednesday, September 11 from 5:30-7:00pm at the Faculty Center on College Ave. at UNCG (see directions below).  Hope to see you there or keep up with us through all the various electronic goodies.
